Annual Fund Drive
In refocusing our vision to create a transformative perspective of the world, this year’s Annual Fund Drive is currently focusing on building community through innovative, globally recognized programming. During multiple lockdowns and restrictions over the nearly three years of pandemic. Sonia Plumb Dance Company engaged with more international audiences and artists than ever before. The creative mind and body cannot be stopped, so it was proved, by a pandemic. Sonia and the dancers were pushed to create and connect in new ways, digitally and physically – often from the confines of their own living rooms and basements.
But any dancer will impart to you the importance of sharing physical space in technique classes, improvisation exercises, rehearsals and ultimately the performance. Surely you, a supporter of dance, similarly miss the excitement of attending a performance, feeling the breath and heartbeat of the dancers before you. SPDC – Sonia, our dancers – need YOU in order to make that leap from a dance company grappling with a pandemic to a dance company soaring to new heights in a post-pandemic world.
Help us open our doors to you, inviting you and our neighbors IN to experience performances together again.
