The in-person premier of Penelope’s Odyssey was originally slated for October 2020. We pushed the date to February 2021, but the tenacious pandemic caused us to shift the premier to this coming October. To meet that goal, we need to raise $10,000 to rehire our dancers in order to complete the choreography, finish the costumes, and arrange for music, video, lighting design and space rental.
We need YOUR help!
Donors will receive exclusive behind the scenes content including the making of “Penelope’s Home Video” on the Island of Crete.
I think you can see why we are so excited about this production. It’s the latest in a long series of dance-centric offerings we’ve been proud to present to our corner of Connecticut and to the wider world. For 20+ years, the Sonia Plumb Dance Company has offered performances, classes, workshops, webinars, videos, community outreach, arts integration residencies and collaborations with musicians, composers, artists, actors, puppeteers, poets and professors. We are known for reaching beyond the arts community with a diverse repertoire that often reflects upon larger societal issues.
