Touch – A Digital Duet

Touch – A Digital Duet premiered on September 5, 2020 at the Columns Dance and Wellness Centre Dance Festival in Hartford, CT’s Bushnell Park. It subsequently played during Duos and Trios held outside on the grounds of the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT in September, 2020.

Touch – A Digital Duet was conceived and created during the first phase of the 2020 pandemic lockdown. Isolated from friends, family and loved ones, lacking physical contact, the only way to connect was through the digital space of the virtual world. Touch features dancers Richard Pye (London, UK) and  Sonia Plumb (VT/CT) and composer Elinor Speirs (South Africa). Touch was inspired by a virtual improvisation performance led by Hartford’s Cuatos Puntos.  To date, none of the performers have seen each other in person.

Touch can be purchased for download or streaming at Vimeo on Demand here. Proceeds go directly towards all digital content programming.

Premier: September 5, 2020
