We’re a nonprofit. Yet ticket prices, for live or streaming performances, never fully cover the cost of creating dance. Which entails paying for dancers, designers (costume, sound, projection), rehearsal space, and plenty more.
Corporate and individual donors keep the show going.
Please give generously, in cash or in-kind.
Cash
Your contribution will:
- Support rehearsals, costuming, sets, and opportunities for collaboration with choreographers, dancers, visual artists, composers, and musicians
- Support new projects
- Expand our programming for community engagement worldwide
- Add to our educational outreach residencies, and
- Bring in previously excluded audiences and dancers.
Ways To Make a Tax-Deductible Gift
- One-Time Donation: Donate directly through PayPal or Venmo OR Mail your check, made payable to Sonia Plumb Dance Company, to 233 Pearl Street, Ste 14, Hartford, CT 06103
- Recurring Donations: Set up a regular (for example, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly) auto-pay with your bank or credit card.
- Pledge Your Support: Decide when you will give.
- Matching Gifts: If your company offers to match your donation, we will be happy to walk you through the process. Call Sarah at 860-681-5779.
- Gifts of Stocks or Securities: Call Sarah at 860-681-5779.
- Planned Gifts: Leave a bequest by adding a line or two to your probated will or living trust. Your financial planner or lawyer will know exactly what to write.

Volunteer
The more you volunteer, the more we save toward scholarships, salaries, shows, and the rest. You can usher audiences, organize fundraisers, coordinate parent teams for student shows, pick up supplies, help host our gala, sew costumes, make props, or build sets. Tell us what you’re good at, and we’re sure to find a use for it. It takes a lot to dance!
