Sarah McCarthy

Sarah McCarthy is a Queens-based dance artist specializing in dance movement and yoga exploration. Sarah received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hofstra University, where she worked on cultivating and rounding out her formal education, gaining a depth of capability, fortitude, and vivacity within dance and media. As part of her studies, Sarah has had the privilege to work with and perform pieces by New York based choreographers including Adam Barruch, Liz Gerring, Larry Kegwin, and Christina Lynch Markham.

Sarah previously worked with Nefelaba Dance Theatre, a non-profit Brooklyn-based dance company directed by Isaac Iskra, for their evening length piece, Fauve, last Spring. Most recently, Sarah had the opportunity to join Sonia Plumb Dance Company as a full time company member. Sarah also works as Sonia Plumb Dance Company’s Company Manager. Sarah continues to dedicate her time to movement exploration, aiming to morph her practices into an unfeigned reality.
